We have been watching the progress of
Jembrae Rattle N Hum
(Riverside/xx) as he trains towards being a dressage horse progresses. When Arion was a foal, he was very impressive with his uphill movement but also his temperament. For a young foal, nothing phased him. He was more interested in annoying people than leaving them alone.
Under the watchful eye of Emma Flavelle, we’ve seen Arion take to competing in his stride. His first competition was the Toowoomba Young Horse competition where he finished in the top 10. His second completion was the North Coast Championships where he won both his tests with a convincing lead and scores of over 70%.
Due to time constraints and having another youngster at home, Arion has been sold to a competitive dressage home.
Jembrae Rattle N Hum
has had a fantastic couple of months. After winning the Brisbane CDI 4 YO Champion, he was then awarded Reserve Champion Prelim horse at the QLD States. 2 weeks later, he has just been awarded the Champion Prelim horse at the NSW Championships. What a great start to his career. Jembrae Sophie is back in foal to Riverside which will be a full sibling to Rattle N Hum.
Update - Jembrae Rattle N Hum has had a great 2016/2017 year winning the Brisbane CDI 4 yo, being Reserve Champion Prelim at the QLD State Dressage Championships, Champion Prelim horse at the NSW State Dressage Championships and wining the first round of the 4yo at the Sydney CDI then coming 5th overall. In 2016 Arion was sold to Helen Batson who put Arion with the Brett Parbury and Riley Alexander who had great success with him as well. At the NSW CDI Arion one his first round with 85% and then came 5th overall on day two. Not back for a horse who had 6 weeks work and only started in novice a couple a month or so before his big competition. Arion has now to Raewyne Passey of New Zealand, we wish Raewyne all the best with this talented boy.
Riley as "Rattle N Hum" is affectionately known as has moved to New Zealand to start his dressage career and what an impact he has had. Either coming away with champion or reserve, Riley has been kicking some goals for owner Raewyne Passey. We love keeping in contact with the owners of our horses and share their excitment as their bond grows.
We love watching the progress our horses we’ve bred and
Jembrae First Fareess
has a special place in our hearts being the first foal we have produced. A small warmblood with paces to match those of the bigger warmbloods, Sunny had success from his first competition winning both his tests with scores of 70%+. Sunny and his rider Kirsten have done well in the 3 years she has owned him. In Kirstens first year of competing with Sunny, not only did they having success and many placings, Kirsten was also awarded the Gary Lung Dressage Newcomer of the Year, for Dressage QLD. Since then Sunny and Kirsten have been progressing up the ranks and is now training medium, competing Elementary. They also had success in their very first Elementary class, winning both tests. As hard a decision it has been, Kirsten decided to sell Sunny. Sunny has moved to a lovely home with a young rider and we look forward to watching them progress through the levels.
September 2016 - Sunny has been going well for his new rider, recently winning their first Elementary tests. We look forward to watching their progress.
2017.....Sunny has a new young rider in Eliose Smith who has been having great fun and success with Sunny. We look forward to watching this pair out competing in 2018.
The mare who loved to jump! We were very pleased when we finally had bred a filly who was a fully sister to Jembrae First Fareess.
Jembrae First Lady
was a spitting image of her brother though she was a little bit bigger by ¾ of an inch! We had to make some hard decisions and one of those was to sell our horses when we were facing another year of drought. It was pleasing that a rural family purchased Sophie with the view of her being “mums” horse. Holly has recently started jumping and is enjoying it greatly having places at some of the local shows. This is exciting as my back ground is eventing and I loved to jump before I got too old! We will keep you updated on the progress of her career as a dressage and jumping horse.
Congratulations to Kira and Chloe Newman how purchased
. Finnie as we all know him was always going to be big and he hasn’t let us down. He is now 17.1 ¾hh, I hope he has finished growing! Finnie had success from his very first competition under the watchful eye of Emma Flavelle, being reserve champion at the PRARG 2* event, his first time at any completion and he handled it like a pro. Finn went on to then win at the Northcoast Active riders with Emma with scores of 70%+. Kira was looking for her first warmblood as she had made the decision to move from Showing where Kira was very successful at all levels including Grand Nationals, to Dressage. Finnie and Kira have been a perfect match being, this horse is truly loved by the Newman family and so spoilt! In 2015 Kira and Finnie were named on the Young Riders Squad, an achievement I’ve very proud of. From the foal that no one was really interested in as he was a bit “plain” to having a great future ahead of him, we can’t be more proud of them both.
September 2016 - Kira and Finnie continue their progression up through the dressage levels and are on the QLD Dressage Young Riders Squad. We are excited to watch this partnership grow and look forward to seeing Kira and Fin out in the dressage ring.
Our beautiful Jembrae Fendi has headed off to be started under saddle. Fendi out of Razzle (Rotspon/xx) by the lovely stallion Ferrero Rocher (Florestan/Weltmyer). He has a wonderful temperament, is an easy to handle youngster who we are looking forward to watching him start his ridden career. Fendi has a big fan club as many people have been watching him over the years as he grows. He loves people, he loves anything or anyone who will give him attention. Such a pleasure to own, we do many things to him with no halter on as he is just relaxed and responsive to what we ask of him. He is very much loved and a true gem to have around.
